To the people in the "new world" like lenina yes they would be savages, but in there own minds they are not because that is how they were raised and the way they live now is all that they know. the true savage at the reservation is Linda especailly to the residants.
The people on the reservation seem like savages to the people in the Brave New World because they stay with one person, don't sleep around, and look old and different. But to us they seem normal and the people from the Brave New World visiting the reservation seem like savages, or Linda who was left there seems like a savage. She breaks up relationships and sleeps around with a bunch of different people.
i think that the people at the reservation are not savages the people from the New World think that because that is the way they have been brought up so they think everything that they do is weird because they dont sleep around or anything like Lenina was thought to do
i would say that they are savages because they live in poverty and they dont take care of themselves. They are kept from leaving by having electrical fences. Lenina and Bernard think they are savages because they have babies the old fashioned way. If they went to the new world they wouldnt get to keep their religion.
I think that the people at the reservation are considered savarages because they can give birth the old fashion way and to keep them from leaving the reservation they are stop by electrical fences, which I think this is "Cruel." These people believe that they are indians because they are in the reservation but John the son of the Director of H.D.C is not a Indian.
In my own eyes i do consider the people on the reservation savages because of their poor lifestyle and have babies the old way. Also, there are electrical fences that keep them from escaping the reservation which is very controling. The way it is at the reservation is uncivilized and rugged so i do believe they are savages.
I disagree with lacey on this because they are basicly just like us right now they have babies the same way people have babies today and besides the electric fence surrounding the reservation its just like an native american city. The only reason there poor is because the controlers think they are unfit to live a better life

The thing that makes them all savages is the fact that the people on the reservation allow the controlers to control them. By obeying the controlers rules and allowing them to put up electric fences to keep them in one place. However, the thing that makes them just like the people in our society and makes them not savages, is the fact that they do have long lasting relationship with only one person. If it were me, I would not want to live the way the people on the reservation live. I would not want to be controled by anyone putting up electrical fences to keep me in one place. I would fight to be my own individual. Which I think the people on the reservation should do, they should fight to be their own individual and not put up with being treated like savages.

Savage is not only an opinion it is relitive. Compared to our socioty the brave new world are savages. but compared to another socioty we are savages. savage is only a comparison to the observers norm.

So to Lennia the people living on the reservation are "savages", but when john came back the the Brave New World they way they lived was "savage" like. So depending on where you were brought up or who you were brought up by, your opinion depends on that.
I believe that to the people in the brave new world they are savages. Just like the people in the brave new world are "savages" to us. Anybody who's different may be considered a "savage" to the rest of the world. It's a matter of opinion, and everyone has different opinions.

No, i don't believe these people are savages because it would be like indians in our world. we modernized people look at these indians just as the people of the world society look at the savages. these people shouldnt be looked down upon but accepted and recognized for their differences because we have a born right to be who we want and how can 1 group classify another when they only know theirs.

Everyone in the New World is the same, they look the same, have the same conditioning, and live the same day to day lifestyle. Savages are diverse, passionate, and unique; three things the people of the New World knows nothing about.
The people from the New World are decanted so through this process they teach them on how to live their lives, so they have taught them that these outsiders "savages" are people that commit to other humans, and create lasting relationships instead of their concept that ''everyone belongs to everyone else.'' But the truthis that to us they're not savages they are the closest thing to normal and to reality from that book.
In the book "Brave New World" yes they would be savages. Because the world is diffrent and they dont want people running wild and there not condition to live in the new world. they have natural birth and the people in the new world is botteled so there both diffrent.
